General Construction Company (Rolin) subsidiary of the Holding Company for Construction and Development of the Ministry of Public Business Sector
The company was established in 1902 by the Belgian Baron Leon Rolin to be as the same model as the European Contracting Companies working in Europe at the beginning of 20th Century. The Company started it activity in Egypt where it contributed in major architectural edifices among which Hotels such as Le Meridien, Shepard, El Sadeika in Mali, Khedivial Buildings in Imad El Din Street, Bawaky of Heliopolis, El-Refae Mosque, and currently Cairo International Stadium and The Panorama and several sugar factories in Hawamdeya.
In order to form major entity, The Arab General Contracting Company (with its major constructions that accompanied the great Revolution of July 1952) was merged with the Nile company for constructions and real estate "Speco" with its high quality reinforced concrete works, and with El Wadi El Gedid contracting company that reconstructed the Valley. So the company became a major entity since its merge with the mentioned companies in 2006.
The company could conquer new distinctive fields of business and greater projects of sanitary drainage, utilities and real estate investment as well as many distinctive architectural projects. The company had the certificate of international quality control 9001 /2000 awarded. The company copes with the latest technology information systems through a joint harmony with the Holding Company for construction and development.

According to the decision of the company's General Assembly President and The Chairman of National Company for Construction and Development No 136 year 2004, the Board of directors has been working with a specific system and mechanism in order to achieve the following objectives:

- Reduce expenses and costs.
- Realize profit and surplus and maintain excellence.
The company has also put into consideration the development of its information systems and mechanization of these systems in addition to the use of computers.
